I’ve tried a lot of menopause remedies; and I admit, I’ve taken an extra pill or two… or three, just to see if they worked better or faster. I know it’s never safe to do that, but hot flashes can make you feel so desperate. For a safe experience with Amberen, it must only be used as directed. (read my full review of Amberen here)
Each package contains a Self Assessment Test to help us figure out the number of capsules that’s best for us.
Course A – 2 capsules a day for at least 90 days
Course B – for women with heavy menopausal symptoms – 4 capsules a day for 90 days.
Never mix it with prescription HRT.
I decided against HRT because of the serious side effects associated with it; but if you’re on HRT, you must not take Amberen at the same time. HRT therapies alter the body’s hormone levels, while Amberen tries to restore your hormone balance. If you take them at the same time, there could be serious complications. A physician can help you find the best way to transition away from HRT.
Consult with your physician if I have any medical condition.
Amberen has been tested, but it’s not possible to include patients with every known medical complication in a trial. If you’ve had hormone-receptive cancer, hypothyroidism or any other medical condition, you should consult with your physician before taking it.
Some people should not take Amberen.
If you have been diagnosed with thyroid goiter or extreme uncontrolled arterial hypertension, you should not take it.
