Are you looking for a good laugh? Why not spend some time at the theater and catch a new musical by GFour Productions, entitled Menopause the Musical®. This hilarious production will be hitting up theaters this fall all along the East Coast, with a few showing in the Upper Great Lake Regions as well as Las Vegas, and has already garnered rave reviews for its’ depiction of four strangers who end up bonding over their incredibly loud Silent Passage.
This musical is perfect for a girls’ night out. The all-female cast sings and dances their way through hot flashes, mood swings and forgetfulness. However, with original songs like “I’m Flashing,” “Signs of the Times,” and “This is Your Day” Menopause the Musical® is anything but forgettable.
Check out just a sample of the reviews:
“You’ll Love it…It’s Hilarious…Go see it!!!” Joy Behar – The View
“Ninety minutes of extraordinary fun!” Australian Stage
“The perfect destination for girls’ treat out.” Baltimore Times Herald
The purpose of this musical written and produced by the Jeanie Linders is to encourage a healthy dialogue about the highs and lows of women experiencing menopause. The musical also supports the Jeanie Linders Fund®, a not-for-profit organization that supports women’s health, education and culture worldwide. In addition to Menopause the Musical®, Linders has also brought awareness to another women’s health issue- ovarian cancer- with her production, Menopause the Musical Outloud®: Breaking the Silence of Ovarian Cancer.
Her tours of both musicals have been successful avenues for bringing not only attention, but much needed opportunities for fundraising opportunities to local and regional ovarian cancer chapters.
While menopause may be a hindrance in your everyday life, this musical provides a chance for you and your friends to take a night off from the symptoms of menopause and enjoy a night where laughter will be your medicine for the hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings.
Tickets for the production begin at about $44 per ticket depending on the venue and the city. Currently, the tour begins in Washington DC on August 15th and ends December 9 in Ogdensburg, New York. The Las Vegas production is open-ended.
